Dock Street Restaurant and Brew-Pub

Dock Street demonstrates our experience designing and constructing projects with complex functional and logistical constraints. We designed and constructed a microbrewery, restaurant, and commercial kitchen underneath the historic Warner Theater. Among the challenges, we rerouted all of the theater’s mechanical and electrical systems without disrupting its performance schedule. The restaurant’s undulating copper and aluminum-leafed ceiling follows the sloping floor of the theater above, conceals the new mechanical systems and serves as a sound-proof envelope between the restaurant and the theater. We successfully navigated the complex permitting and inspection processes of Washington D.C. to complete project construction in under six months
