Vastu Design

Vastu Design is a traditional system of space planning based on Vedic philosophy.  Incorporating scientific and spiritual principles, Vastu is based on the concept of the intimate relationship between the ultimate source of energy, space and form.  Some of the important factors of Vastu design include the position of a structure on the site, the geometry of the building’s grid, and the appropriate balance of the five elements: earth, air, water, fire and space. The system aligns built form with the natural environment and provides order, balance, and harmony within the structure.

Since designing the Meditation Hall at the Heavenly Mountain Resort in Blowing Rock, Siegman Associates has continued to incorporate Vastu principles into many of its designs for private residences.
